While driving home one evening about a month ago, I heard a preacher on the radio talking about masculinity. I don’t remember who it was, just that it was on the Bott Radio affiliate here in Northwest Arkansas. He read to the audience an advertisement for khaki pants. I had never heard the ad before, but I actually amen-ed out loud when he was done.
The ad was apparently for Docker’s pants, produced by Levi Strauss & Co., so I’m under no illusions that this is indicative of a complete Biblical worldview. However, I have to give them credit for a point well-made.
Instead of trying to conform to the patterns of pop culture, men should proudly and un-apologetically be who and what God has designed us to be.
